Public Disco Porch is an American indie-folk band founded in 2018 that features the music of local York, Pennsylvania musician Spencer McCreary. McCreary has moved back to York (his hometown) from Chicago after being away for nearly a decade. He has the following to say about the area; "I have watched from afar as a sort of renaissance of an art scene has started to bloom downtown over the last few months and years. I hope to not just be a neighbor of the city, but part of the aforementioned scene. If music songs are all we have to offer, I want to give the most genuine and intentional display of that work that I possibly can. The songs that have been written for this band over the last few years sing specifically of this area. They sing of being a good neighbor, taking care of one another, as well as the land we’re standin’ on because we might be all we got."

The band is partnering with a few different environmentally focused local organizations to redirect profits from the show to doing what the lyrical content of the band sings of, taking care of one another and the land we have under our feet. Partnering non-profit organizations will be present the evening of the show to gather in the lobby in order to further inform show-goers of how they can get involved around town. The mission of the event is to not only feature the music songs in the heart of the city in which they often harken, but to encourage the community to learn about how to protect our lands, clean our water systems, and educate themselves on the goings-on of these sort of initiatives in town.
