Deer Mouse Stuck on Glue Trap: Patient 20-7

This young mouse was found on a glue trap. A trap that did exactly what it was designed to do — catch mice. Luckily for this little one, a kind-hearted person sprung into action. The mouse was safely removed from the trap before coming to our center. She stayed with us until she was full grown, and then was released in the wild.

How To Coexist With Mice

While no one likes having mice in their homes (we certainly don't!), there are ways we can safely and effectively keep them out without causing tharm.

Glue traps and other lethal options do not humanely kill the animal as they advertise. They also do not discriminate between the mice you dislike and other critters. If you have a problem with mice or other animals entering your home, fix the problem at the source! Cracks in foundations and exposed pipes are easy ways for small animals like mice to find their way inside. You can check out our suggestions here.

By using a live trap to capture mice, you run little to no risk of death or injury. You can then relocate the animal back outside of your home so that they can continue filling their important role in the ecosystem.
